5 centimeters per second (秒 速 5 センチメートル, Byōsoku senchimêtoru Go), subtitled "a chain of short stories about their distance." is a 2007 Japanese animated film by Makoto Shinkai. The film was completed in January 22, 2007. The first part of the film was to Yahoo! Japan as streaming video, Yahoo! Premium members from 16 February to 19 February to preview the 2007th On March 3, 2007 marked the feature film which premiered at the increase in Shibuya Cinema Theatre , Tokyo. L 'Film consists of three segments: Okasha (桜 花 抄), Cosmonaut (コスモナウト) and 5 Byōsoku senchimêtoru (秒 速 センチメートル 5), for a total of about an hour of running time. As in the earlier work of Shinkai, Tenmon composed the soundtrack for the film. The DVD was released July 19, 2007. Makoto Shinkai had to be said that, unlike his last work, there would be no elements of fantasy or science fiction in this film. Instead, the film would attempt to present the real world by adifferent perspective. Makoto's film gives a realistic view of the struggles many face against: time, space, people and love. The 5 cm per second under the speed of falling petals of cherry blossoms with petals as a metaphorical representation of the people who start to slow pace of life and how often people get along, but slowly in its own way.
