My pen pal alien Faiz Kermani's book is an entertaining and unique fantasy drama about a boy on Earth, and her pen pal from another planet. After the accession of a youth group, the People 's universe, the kids write letters to each other and send mail from space, a futuristic version of e-mail. These letters are for much of the narrative technique used by Mr. Kermani.

Life on the planet Bartoch be subjected to such enormousChanges. Governments are refusing the advice of a controversial scientist paid for this mistake with a lot of life and complete destruction of communities. Concern for his friend committed during a shutdown of communication with the planets and the depth of their friendship takes on a whole new meaning for teenagers.

My pen pal Alien is an interesting story of two boys aged 11 to 15, to learn from each other, comparing the differences and similarities of the other planets and in the process,They develop a strong intergalactic friendship that will last a lifetime.

Author Faiz Kermani is a scientist by profession, Alien and My pen pal is the first book of his children. A fan of Roald Dahl, George Orwell and John Steinbeck, his style certainly reflects a love of space and children. This illustrated children's book is beautiful packaging with 94 pages and sells for less than $ 12 (U.S.).

Many parents can register as memories of his own childhood pen pals, and their enthusiasmfelt waiting for each letter. Educators can encourage writing book penpal with young people from other countries and improve creative writing.

I read this book as a child and have recently read it again some 20 years later and I have never realized the subversive themes implied in the text. Roald Dahl often wrote disgusting and morbid stories to get his readers to wince at the descriptions, Fantastic Mr. Fox is surprisingly light on the disgusting after the third chapter. Instead Dahl invents a hero who steals from the "rich" "crooks" of Boggis, Bunce, and Bean. He ends his great adventure with a large feast where he shares his food with all of the other ecological refugees caused by the insatiable rage of the farmers.

The major theme of the work, as it appears obvious to me, is that socialism is good and capitalism is inherently bad. I know other apologists of capitalism will say I am reading too much into it. I would say they aren't reading enough into it, which is OK. The capitalists are all ill-formed rich farmers who have perverted appetites and lack all sorts of moderation.

If, as a parent, you wish to raise your child with the idea that taking from the haves and sharing with the have-nots is a good thing, then I highly recommend this book. Fox is a fantastic model of sharing and values. This little book offers a lot to a young reader, especially a good story. But I don't think they will understand the themes until later.

AC and EoC have set the stage. Will Terry deliver? Of course.

I really can't describe how much I enjoyed and appreciated this series. For the first time ever, I was so connected to the characters of a book that I felt like I among them, that I knew them. The last few chapters actually nearly jerked some tears from me. The story may be a bit predictable at times, but it's still an emotional ride if you feel as intimate with the characters as I did.

Action packed with just enough suspense, this book was a near perfect ending to a timeless series. Even up to the last few pages, things kept going wrong for some people and made all seem hopeless for them. I can't wait for the 'Legends' duology to see what happens next. I'm far more into this storyline than the original Shannara books, and just want to read more about how mankind survives the apocalypse.

The only thing I would suggest changing [SPOILER ALERT] was how the main demon was killed off. Way too easy. Findo Gask has been around a long time, and dominated John Ross in the Word/Void series, and he dies just like that? I was ready for an intense battle of magic and will and passion - and THEN maybe Sim steps in and does her thing. I'm extremely happy with the hopeful ending as far as Logan and Sim's story goes, very sad about Panther and Cat and Cheney, and curious about the Ghosts. [END SPOILER]

This is easily my favorite work of fiction.
